Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager
Location: Paint/Varnish Manufacturing Facility
Duration: 3 months with the potential for extension
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $48-$50/hr
- Completion Bonus: $150 (paid upon successful project completion)
- No Per Diem
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days (40 hours per week)
- Start Date: ASAP
Project Scope:
As the Safety Manager, you will oversee safety operations at a paint/varnish manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include maintaining OSHA compliance, managing hazardous material protocols, conducting air quality monitoring, and leading spill response efforts. Your work will ensure the facility remains safe, compliant, and efficient.
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30, OSHA 501, and HAZWOPER 40 certifications required.
- Fire Safety and Environmental Safety certifications are mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Hazardous material handling
- Waste management protocols
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Air monitoring and spill response procedures
Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in paint or chemical manufacturing environments.
- Proven expertise in managing environmental safety programs and implementing OSHA-compliant protocols.
- Strong skills in communication, leadership, and organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Manage hazmat handling, waste disposal, and maintain SDS documentation.
- Oversee and monitor air quality protocols and lead spill response efforts.
- Deliver safety training and maintain detailed reports on safety initiatives.
